Location data: Real-time GPS location while the app is in use to find nearby drivers, navigate trips, calculate fares, and improve safety.

Trip and transaction data: Pickup and drop-off addresses, trip history, fares, payment method, ratings, and support messages.

Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and push notification token (FCM).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity
• To connect customers with drivers and complete ride or parcel requests
• To process payments, refunds, and wallet transactions
• To send OTPs, trip updates, and service notifications
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes
• To improve app performance, safety, and fraud prevention

3. Location Services

BookAToto requires location access to operate. Customers share pickup and destination locations. Drivers share live location during online/active trip status. You can control location permissions in your device settings, but some features may not work without location access.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information with:

• Other users: During a trip, customers and drivers may see each other's first name, phone number (as needed), vehicle details, and live location.
• Service providers: SMS/OTP providers (e.g. 2Factor), payment gateways, Google Maps, Firebase (notifications and authentication), and cloud hosting partners who process data on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of BookAToto, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Trip records may be kept for accounting and regulatory purposes.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure server infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
